We are one of Uruguay´s largest producers of frozen fish. We have been working since 1993 in a large plant strategically situated with an easy access to the Montevideo Port and the International Airport of Carrasco.


Our quality standards start from the moment the fish is caught and immediately ice-cooled to be then processed in our plant, in constant technological evolution, fulfilling the European Union standards and the safety principles of HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) established by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).


Due to a solid track record and the hard work of its people, NOVABARCA S.A. has become one of the biggest Uruguayan frozen fish producers since the very beginning.


The company installations have been remodeled since its acquisition and counts with a processing capacity of 120 MT per day, reaching an annual production of 14,000MT.


NOVABARCA S.A. counts with cold storage facilities to keep fresh fish at OºC for 300MT, freezing chambers with a capacity of keeping processed fish of 1000MT and an ice capacity production of 20MT per day. In order to keep the quality and freshness of the production, NOVABARCA S.A. uses an ultra-quickly method of freezing at -40ºC to avoid the formations of ice crystals so that the best texture, taste and nutrition of the product is assured.


NOVABARCA S.A. has its own fleet of 11 fishing vessels operating in the unpolluted waters of the South Atlantic Ocean.
